Software company Jade Software has sold its trans-Tasman human resource and payroll business, Empower HR.
The unit has been sold to New Zealand-owned company Fusion5, which will retain Empower's existing staff.
Jade managing director Craig Richardson says the sale allows the company to increase its focus on other fast-growing portfolios such as mobile business computer devices.
