Further delay in Nauru parliament

09:54 am on 4 June 2010

Nauru's parliamentarians have agreed to meet again on friday as the country struggles to form a government nearly six weeks after elections.

A Speaker, Dominic Tabuna, was voted into office on Tuesday, and it was hoped the other key offices, including the presidency, could be filled yesterday, but no progress was made.

The MPs have agreed to try again today to reach agreement.
