Fiji officials to travel to Russia for diplomacy course

20:35 pm on 7 November 2014

Four officials from Fiji's Ministry of Foreign Affairs will travel to Moscow for a diplomacy course by Russia's foreign ministry.

The Fiji information department says they will be joined by six officials from the military, police, and the defence ministry.

This follows talks between the two countries' foreign ministers in June.

A senior official at the foreign ministry says it will always encourage its staff to make the most of study opportunities abroad.

It is not clear how long the course is.
