New Zealand's new ministers

The new Labour-led government has revealed its full ministerial line-up today.

Prime Minister-designate Jacinda Ardern has announced the portfolios for members of the incoming Government at Parliament House today.

Prime Minister Ardern will hold the portfolios of Arts, Culture and Heritage, National Security and Intelligence and Child Poverty Reduction. 

Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters is also Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister for State Owned Enterprises and Minister for Racing.

Labour deputy Kelvin Davis will take on Crown/Māori Relations, corrections and tourism and has been named Associate Minister of Education (Māori Education). 

Grant Robertson will be Minister of Finance, Minister for Sport and Recreation and Associate Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage. 

Other cabinet ministers include Phil Twyford, Megan Woods, Chris Hipkins, Andrew Little, Carmel Sepuloni, David Clark, David Parker, Nanaia Mahuta, Stuart Nash, Iain Lees-Galloway, Jenny Salesa, Damien O’Connor, Clare Curran. 

NZ First cabinet positions go to Ron Mark (defence, veterans), Tracey Martin (Minister for Children, Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister for Seniors and Associate Minister for Education) and Shane Jones (forestry, infrastructure, regional economic development, Associate Minister of Finance, Associate Minister of Transport).

Green party MPs given ministerial positions are James Shaw (climate change, statistics, Associate Minister of Finance), Julie Anne Genter (Minister for Women, Associate Minister of Health and Associate Minister of Transport) and Eugenie Sage (Minister of Conservation, Minister for Land Information and Associate Minister for the Environment).
