A man accused of a cold case murder has been freed on electronically monitored bail.
Yun Qing Liu was given bail at the High Court in Auckland this morning by Justice Andrews. The judge has suppressed all the legal arguments and the bail address.
However, Radio New Zealand can report that Mr Liu will be subject to a 24-hour curfew.
Mr Liu is charged with murdering his partner Cissy Chen, 44, whose remains were found in Totaravale Park on the North Shore in March, 17 months after she was reported missing.
Mr Liu had been due to stand trial in October, but last month his lawyer Michael Kan said he had not received all the evidence needed to prepare for it.
A new date is yet to be set down.
