Dairy prices have fallen fractionally in the latest fortnightly auction.
The average price was down 0.2 percent to $US3255 a tonne.
The fall was smaller than the previous auction's 2.6 percent drop.
Whole milk powder, which has a key influence of farmer payouts, rose 2.1 percent in price to $US3100 a tonne.
Prices for most other products fell and volumes sold were also down on the previous auction.
Dairy prices have been soft since mid-May when they touched a two-year high.
