A Qantas jet has been forced to return to Johannesburg after bird strike damaged one of its engines.
It is the latest in a series of incidents involving Qantas planes since an engine failure on an Airbus A380 nearly two weeks ago.
The Sydney-bound Boeing 747, carrying 171 passengers, suffered minor engine damage.
An airline spokesperson says the pilot followed standard procedure and shut down the engine, and there was never any danger.
