The Wallabies prop Benn Robinson has ruled himself out of the Rugby World Cup after losing his battle with a knee injury.
The loosehead prop tore an anterior cruciate ligament last month, but had been hoping to make a miracle appearance at the tournament starting next month in New Zealand.
But Robinson tweeted last night that he was heading in for surgery today.
Coach Robbie Deans will announce Australia's 30-man Cup squad on Thursday.
