An Auckland man has been admitted to hospital with serious injures after an apparent road rage incident.
The 49-year-old man had a fight with the driver of another car, just after 9pm on Saturday, the police said.
Both drivers pulled over on the Albany Highway and it appeared the injured man was carried on the bonnet of the other car and then run over.
The vehicle - a small white hatchback, similar to a Toyota Starlet - drove away. The police want the driver of that vehicle to come forward.
They also want to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened.
Detectives hope they will be able to speak to the injured man in Auckland Hospital today. He is now in a stable condition.
