People around the Indian Ocean are remembering the Boxing Day tsunami that struck nine years ago.
More than 200,000 people in 14 countries died when a tsunami was created in the Indian Ocean by one of the strongest earthquakes ever recorded.
Over 130,000 of them died in Indonesia's Aceh province, where flags are flying at half-mast.
Locals have gathered at mass graves in the province on the northern tip of Sumatra island, which bore the brunt of the tsunami.
Red and white Indonesian flags will be flown at half-mast for three days to mark the disaster.
The tsunami was triggered by a magnitude 9.3 earthquake off Sumatra.
