NZ Football confident of keeping Herbert involved after World Cup

Football New Zealand is confident it'll keep hold of All Whites coach Ricki Herbert following the world cup, even if they have to share him with an overseas club.

The performance of the All Whites in South Africa will have pushed Herbert into the international spotlight and it is expected that a number of clubs around the world may approach him.

He's contracted to the Wellington Phoenix for one more season.

Football New Zealand CEO Michael Glading says whatever happens to Herbert will be very positive for New Zealand football.

Glading says they've talked to Herbert about the next 4-year world cup cycle and where he fits into that although Herbert's refusing to talk publicly about his future while the All Whites are still involved in the world cup.
