Australia bans Nazi symbols - could NZ follow suit?

A far right expert says it would be complex for Aotearoa to follow in Australia's footsteps to ban the public display and sale of Nazi symbols and paraphernalia. 

The ban comes amid a boost in the far right movement - and an increase in the use of symbols such as the swastika and the lightening bolt S-S insignia. 

The proposed law will ban the symbols from use on flags, armbands or printed on clothes.
