Fiji's interim Attorney General says the public has complained a lot about day-to-day issues to government officials who've been guests on Fiji Broadcasting Corporation talkback shows over the past three weeks.
Under the Public Emergency Regulations that've been in place for two years all media is censored.
However Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says there are no limits on what can be discussed on talkback radio.
"We obviously get a lot of complaint in terms of for example you know day-to-day issues like water in the city or people may complain about for example various bureaucratic processes. The idea of this talkback is not just to inform the public but also to know from them as to how to improve governmental services."
Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says one of the issues discussed during an earlier round of talkback was the equal distribution of land lease money, for which there was overwhelming public support.
