A woman in her early 20s has drowned after getting into trouble in the sea off Ninety Mile Beach this afternoon.

Emergency services received a report that the woman and two children were struggling in the water about 4pm today.
The three were found in the water. The children were rescued, but the woman could not be revived.
Police said they were still clarifying the circumstances around the incident.
