French Polynesia's president Edouard Fritch says the government has made no decision about next month's Pacific Mini-Games in Vanuatu despite reports of an official boycott.
Last week, the director of the youth and sport service Anthony Pheu announced that Tahiti would not go the Games following a dispute over which boxers were to participate.
But Mr Fritch said it's up to the various sports federations to decide if they want to attend, adding that the funds to go have been approved for those recognised by French Polynesia.

He said the whole situation emanates from what he calls the monstrous mess at the Olympic Committee of French Polynesia whose head Tauhiti Nena has been stripped of his title.
Mr Fritch said he was saddened by the situation and offended by the actions of the Pacific Games Council.
