American Samoa's government owned Territorial Bank is set to open in four weeks, on October 3rd.

The Bank is being set up as the only other commercial bank, Bank of Hawaii, pulls out of the territory.

The Hawaiian based bank, which has moved into temporary premises, said it will remain in American Samoa until the Territorial Bank is up and running.

The new bank is now establishing itself at the Bank of Hawaii's former location, having assumed the lease on a building that is owned by the American Samoa Government Employees Retirement Fund.
