Lance Armstrong has stepped down as a board member of Livestrong, a cancer-support charity he founded in 1997. He previously stepped down as chairman of the organisation.
Armstrong, 41, had his seven Tour de France victories nullified and was banned from cycling for life last month after the International Cycling Union ratified sanctions against him by the United States Anti-Doping Agency.
Armstrong has contributed $US7 million to the charity. He had testicular cancer.
