The new Blues signing Ma'a Nonu has admitted he's lucky to have a Super Rugby franchise for next season.
Nonu, who appeared to have burned his bridges with the Blues after joining the Highlanders this season, confirmed a two-year deal with the Auckland-based franchise this week.
The midfielder says he benefitted from the benevolence of Blues coach Sir John Kirwan, who's forgiven him for walking out last season.
Nonu admits the drawn-out process to find a franchise caused him to doubt his own ability.
