The 36-year-old rugby hooker, who now farms at Patearoa near Ranfurly, has admitted supplying a firearm to a non-licence holder on the first day of the duck-shooting season in May.

A group of men he was travelling with had been drinking, when their vehicle went over a rise and a man and a shotgun fell out.

The shotgun went off, firing into the man's arm.

Hore appeared briefly in the Alexandra District Court this morning charged with supplying the man, Daniel Parker, with the gun.

Through his lawyer, he pleaded guilty but applied for a discharge without conviction, which will be considered next month.
