A third person has been arrested and charged with murder following the death of a man in Tauranga last year.
Police were called to a disorder incident involving a group of people at a house on Maungatapu Road on 14 May 2022.
Mitchell Te Kani, 51, was found dead on their arrival.
In June, two people were arrested in relation to the crime.
A 25-year-old man appeared in court yesterday and will also be facing charges for assault against other people who were at the address on the night of the alleged murder, police said in a statement.
Detective Inspector Craig Rawlinson said the other two suspects, a 41-year-old man and 40-year-old woman were due to appear in the High Court at Tauranga in March.
The homicide investigation was ongoing.
