Two men are in hospital in Nelson with serious injuries after being stabbed.
A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said it was notified of an incident at the intersection of Haven Road and Halifax Street just after 9pm last night.
Two ambulances and a rapid response unit were sent to the scene and two people were taken to Nelson Hospital, one in a serious condition and one in a critical condition.
Police said two men were in a stable condition and were recovering in hospital.
A Te Whatu Ora Nelson Marlborough spokesperson said a 20 year-old-patient was treated and discharged, and a 51-year-old patient was admitted and is stable.
An investigation is underway, and no arrests have yet been made but police said they are following strong lines of enquiry.
Police appealed for anyone who saw what happened or had any information to contact them.
