Wigan Athletic manager not embarrased by FA Cup exit

The manager of English football side Wigan Athletic says he feels no embarrasment despite his premier league side's 2-1 third round FA Cup loss to fourth division Swindon Town.

Roberto Martinez had made nine changes to the team which lost to Sunderland in their last premiership match mid last week as he regarded this morning's Cup fixture as a fact finding mission.

In the day's only all-Premier League clash, Newcastle United has beaten Blackburn Rovers 2-1 while fellow league teams Bolton Wanderers and Queens Park Rangers were held to draws.
