A worker at a beer distribution firm in the US state of Connecticut opened fire on his colleagues on Tuesday morning, killing eight people and then himself.
Two other people were wounded.
The incident took place in the town of Manchester, about 16km east of Hartford.
The man responsible was reportedly a driver at Hartford Distributors, who had refused to resign from his job.
