Police in Papua New Guinea are searching for the killer of a young woman who died on Tuesday in Pt Moresby's Korobosea area.

The victim has been identified as 19 to 20-year-old Jenelyn Kennedy and police are looking for Bhosip Takip Kaiwi in connection with her death.
He is said to be of mixed parentage from Jiwaka and New Ireland Provinces.
Police say the body was brought to Pt Moresby's General Hospital Emergency Ward on Tuesday with bruises from head to toe and knife wounds to her right thigh.
PNG's chief of emergency medicine commented on the case, saying "it looked apparent that she had been through living hell, a slow, deliberate painful death" in a Facebook post.
Dr Sam Yockopua had only just returned from a two month Covid-19 assignment and began his first ward rounds back in hospital "unusually with a minute of silence to pay respect" following the death of the young woman "at the hands of a violent man".
Dr Yockopua has called for laws to be strengthened to protect women and girls from "reckless violent men".
Police say the incident is believed to have taken place between 2 and 4pm on Tuesday.
They say three young men brought her body to hospital in a white Toyota Land Cruiser with the registration number BFM 444.
Her death follows the recent high profile domestic violence case of elite PNG athlete Debbie Kaore, who was violently assaulted by her partner in front of her children.
