A person has been critically injured during a robbery in South Auckland.
Police say they were called to a business on Dawson Road in Clover Park just before 11.30am on Saturday.
One person has been taken to Auckland Hospital in critical condition and police are investigating.
Bhupen, the owner of a dairy next to a liquor store in the block of shops, said he heard a disturbance and called an ambulance, before finding a person lying on the ground.
There had been many robberies in the block of shops in the 23 years he had worked there, but none where someone had been badly injured: "I feel scared", he said.
Officers can be seen in the area collecting evidence and forensic workers arrived at the shops during the afternoon.
