Some batches of camembert and brie cheese from the Waimata Cheese Company are being recalled due to the possible presence of E coli.

New Zealand Food Safety said it was concerned about three products: Waimata Cheese brand Camembert, Longbush Camembert and Longbush Brie.

Any with a best-before date of 28 February is being recalled and removed from shelves.

The E coli bacteria can cause stomach cramps, diarrhoea and vomiting.
