Vaccine hesitancy complicates PNG's covid crisis

06:02 am on 10 April 2021

PNG's worrying surge of the coronavirus has seen the number of confirmed cases more than quadruple in the past month alone to about 8-thousand.

As health authorities try and stem the rate of infection around the country, the rollout of a first batch of 8,000 AstraZeneca vaccines has begun... slowly.

The World Bank's senior health specialist in PNG, Dr Edith Kariko, spoke to me about the country's health crisis.
