Police have launched a homicide investigation after the death of a 58-year-old Napier man.
Boy Taylor was found dead on Emerson Street in the central city early on Wednesday morning.
Detective Inspector David De Lange said a post mortem has confirmed Taylor suffered injuries consistent with assault.
He said a large team of investigators is working on this investigation, and they would like to hear from anyone with information about any incident in the area from around 2am.
