Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the North Shore suburb of Birkenhead early this morning.

Inspector Danny Meade said officers were called to a disorder incident shortly before 4.30am.
A man was found dead outside a property on Rawene Road.
Inspector Meade said the death was being treated as unexplained.
