It can now be revealed the two teenagers discharged without conviction over the death of Stephen Dudley in west Auckland are brothers.
Stephen Dudley, who was 15, had an undiagnosed heart condition and died after he was attacked after a rugby practice last year .
An 18-year-old was discharged without conviction yesterday after pleading guilty to an assault charge.
The judge said a conviction would be out of proportion to the seriousness of the offence.
Another teenager had already been discharged without conviction after also admitting a charge of assault.
A suppression order had prevented any publication of the relationship between the pair but this has been lifted.
They have permanent name suppression.
