A person has died following a serious single-vehicle collision in Southland's Te Anau Surrounds. Another person was taken to hospital with moderate injuries.

The crash happened at Mossburn Five Rivers Road and Emergency services were notified just before 5pm.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
