A fire investigator says the fire which gutted an entire block of an Auckland primary school was deliberately lit.

Fire investigator Russell Dickson says the fire was started in a toilet block and he believes it was deliberately lit.
Police are now investigating.
An entire block at Richmond Road school in Ponsonby was in flames when firefighters arrived shortly before 6am on Sunday.
No-one was injured in the fire.
