16:45 pm on 4 March 2014

Caleb and Georgia Nott are the talented brother and sister known as  Broods. Producer Joel Little played a big part in their development and his co-writing and production credits, along with the band's catchy dream-pop, have the Nelson duo tipped as New Zealand's next big musical export.

“We kind of fell in love with the whole limitless idea of making electronic music. Basically all you need is the writers and a computer and samples and you can just go for gold and just do whatever you want. It just seemed like a really cool thing to do and we started experimenting with it. It’s limitless. It’s fun.”

With Ladyhawke, Kimbra and now Lorde pushing the boundaries of what’s possible internationally for local acts, what does the future hold for them?Music 101's Nick Atkinson talks to Broods about what's next.

You can hear Broods' debut self-titled EP below, and expect a full-length album from the band in August.
