Airlines the world have been rapidly brought to their knees by the Covid 19 pandemic.
Last month, air traffic globally fell by 75 per cent in March and the International Air Transport Association estimates around US$250 billion in lost income for the year.
Air New Zealand has cut more than 95 per cent of its flights in New Zealand and around the world, and is to cut a third of its 12 and a half thousand staff.
Kathryn speaks with Justin Wastnage, non-resident Fellow at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney, and on the board of Aviation/Aerospace Australia.
