One person has died after a a two-vehicle collision on State Highway 41 in Bay of Plenty this afternoon.
The crash at Kuratau west of Taupō was reported about 1.40pm.
One person died at the scene.
The road was closed at the junction of SH41 and SH32 while emergency services attended the scene.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash will continue, police said in a statement.
