More allegations about the behaviour of Papua New Guinea diplomats

There are calls for another Papua New Guinea diplomat to be recalled over allegations of sexual misconduct while serving in Australia.

The newspaper, The National, reports a PNG mission office in Australia was used for an all night sex romp by two staff members, one of them a diplomat.

The diplomat had also allegedly been regularly thrown out of a leading hotel for being drunk and disorderly.

The allegations surfaced in Parliament last week when the Foreign Minister, Sir Rabbie Namaliu, told MPs about an internal investigation into the recent recall of two other senior diplomats for alleged misconduct.

The National reports that Sir Rabbie has been urged to take disciplinary action against the third diplomat, since the latest allegations appear far more serious than the earlier incidents.
