Cook Islanders are still waiting to hear about the fate of a troubled hotel site in Rarotonga.
The Vaimaanga property has remained neglected since finances ran dry for a multi million-dollar Sheraton hotel after much of the complex was built two decades ago.
New Zealand-based company Mirage Group is the latest investor tipped to finish building the hotel but it keeps stalling on its public announcement of development details.
A meeting with the Cook Islands ministry of infrastructure and planning set for yesterday was postponed by Mirage.
A previous refurbishment of the Vaimaanga planned by the New Zealand-based McEwan and Tepaki groups collapsed two years ago when those businesses failed.
