Beef and Lamb New Zealand has appointed the managing director of ANZCO Foods to its board.
Mark Clarkson fills one of two director roles representing processors and exporters.
For 10 years he was chief executive of meat processing company CMP Canterbury - a subsidiary of ANZCO - before moving to the parent company in 2004.
Mr Clarkson replaces Silver Fern Farms Chief Executive Keith Cooper who stepped down before his term ended in protest over Beef and Lamb activities which he considered were in conflict with other meat industry interests.
