A serious two-vehicle crash has closed a Bay of Plenty road.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash about 8am and police said there were thought to be serious injuries.
Dansey Road in the Ngongotahā Valley was close and traffic was diverted onto State Highway 5.
Motorists were asked to take alternative routes if possible.
