Living in a post-Brexit world

14:32 pm on 27 June 2016

It sounds like an unappetising high-fibre breakfast cereal, but Brexit has far more outreaching effects than your digestion.

Britain voted to leave the European Union on Friday; a decision which will have consequences that aren’t totally clear, but will inevitably effect economy, politics, justice system, and migration.

What we do know is that there has been a lot of emotions, especially on social media. Here are some reflections on life in a post-Brexit world:

The truth is, not all of us knew what was going on exactly...

...but it became clear that the UK voted, in a nail-bitingly close result, to leave the EU.

Interestingly, 75 percent of 18- to 24-year-olds voted to remain in the European Union.

Breakdowns of the results also threw shade on people without university degrees.

Regardless, some are trying to look on the bright side...

...while others are grappling with the sad reality of it all.

Meanwhile, there are those who are impressed at how easy it is to get rid of the UK.

However, there is strong evidence to suggest that the UK won’t be able make it on its own.

Sadly, there has been reports of racist backlash following the result, but also some clever responses to it.

And finally, cats. Cats are an important consideration in all of this.
