How fast is your internet - and how fast could it be? A new interactive online map aims to help New Zealanders assess their broadband options.
The Government is spending $2 billion on improving broadband internet access throughout New Zealand. Submissions on the next stage of the rollout closed in early July.
In an effort to show the status quo, and where it might go, InternetNZ today released an online map that allows people to search for their address.
It then shows what broadband technologies are available - and at what speeds - and how to request an upgrade. If new technologies are about to become available, it will also show when they are scheduled to be rolled out.
The map was created by combining datasets from network operators around the country.
It was developed by an InternetNZ subsidiary, NZRS Ltd.
The map below may be experiencing delays due to high demand.
