The New Zealand tennis player Marina Erakovic and her playing partner American Jill Craybas have lost their first round doubles match at the ASB Classic in Auckland.
They lost in straight sets, 6-4,6-2, to the Spainish pairing of Nuria Llagostera Vives and Aranxta Parra Santonja.
Today Erakovic will open her singles campaign against Llagostera Vives, ranked nine places below her on the WTA rankings.
Meanwhile top seed, Russian Elena Dementieva, the Olympic champion and world number four will open her tournament against Taipei's Yung-Jan Chan.
