Tuvalu's speaker ousted

The speaker of Tuvalu's parliament, Sir Kamuta Latasi, is reported to have been ousted from his position.

On the first day of the first parliamentary session for the year, Prime Minister Enele Sopoaga moved a motion to remove the speaker for not being with the government.

The motion was reportedly supported by two thirds of the members of parliament.
