The New Zealand equestrian Andrew Nicholson has scored another top win, this time at the Boekelo Military International Horse Trials in The Netherlands this morning.

The event also saw New Zealand finish second to Germany in the Nations Cup.

Nicholson and Quimbo trailed Olympic gold medallist Michael Jung through the dressage and cross country phases, but overtook the German in the showjumping.

Jung dropped two rails in the final phase, giving Nicholson the win.

Just two weeks ago Nicholson and Quimbo won the eight and nine-year-old championship at the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials, and in late August, Nicholson and Avebury won the Burghley International Horse Trials.

Other Kiwis to feature in the top 20 were Mark Todd and Leonidas II who were 17th, Megan Heath aboard St Daniel in 18th spot and rising young star Jesse Campbell on Kool Kaapachino who were 20th.
