The Fiji government says it will not be commenting on its decision to ask Taiwan to change the name of its official office in Suva.
Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has previously said Fiji had buckled to pressure from China to change the name.
The office had been called the Trade Mission of the Republic of China to the Republic of Fiji, but is now the Taipei Trade Office in Fiji.
Taiwan has made a formal protest to the Fiji government.
Islands Business reported that Taiwan's office in Papua New Guinea was compelled to undergo a similar name change.
