Benji Marshall and Renee Wickliffe win Maori Sports Awards

The New Zealand rugby league player Benji Marshall has been named Maori sportsperson of the year at the 19th National Maori Sports Awards.

The title of top Maori sportswoman has gone to rugby player Renee Wickliffe for her performance in three sports codes - touch, Sevens, and the Black Ferns women's rugby team.
