A teenager has been charged with murder after the death of a woman in the Dunedin suburb of Wakari overnight.
Emergency services were called to the address on Helensburgh Road, Wakari, shortly before 3am and found the woman dead at the scene.
By Saturday evening, police said an 18-year-old man had been charged with murder in connection with the incident.
Earlier today Police said they could not provide any further details about the incident at this stage.
The man was scheduled to appear in the Dunedin District Court on 16 January.
