Tanumafili Malietoa Jungblut will be representing American Samoa today, competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics weightlifting event.

The 31 year-old qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal in snatch at the 2016 Oceania Weightlifting Championships. He ranked 28th in the World Championships in 2015 and qualified for the 109kg category for the 2020 Tokyo Games just last month.

Jungblut will be competing against athletes from Lithuania, Turkmenistan, Tunisia and Australia in Group B of the 109kgs snatch and clean and jerk event at 1:50pm.
