Jake Paul will meet UFC legend Nate Diaz inside the ring later this year.

The YouTube sensation turned professional boxer has announced that he'll square off with fellow American Diaz in Dallas in August.

Diaz is a combat sports legend having amassed a 21-13 MMA record dating back to 2004.

Among his greatest moments include a victory over Irish superstar Conor McGregor and competing for the BMF title against fellow fan favourite Jorge Masvidal.

Diaz recently retired from the octagon after submitting the dangerous Tony Ferguson at UFC 279.

Meanwhile Paul, who has a 6 and 1 record, will be looking to bounce back from his first ever professional loss to Tommy Fury in February.

'The Problem Child,' already has a number of victories over UFC legends on his resume, including Anderson 'The Spider' Silva and Tyron Woodley.

"Besides Canelo (Alvarez) he's the biggest thang (sic) in boxing. I'm here to conquer that. I'm the king of combat sports and then I'm headed back to get my UFC belts," Diaz was quoted as saying by Paul's promotion company Most Valuable Promotions.

Paul, 26, says while the Furry fight did not go his way, the result was the best thing that could have happened to his professional boxing aspirations.

"The world thinks I am vulnerable, when all I am is more focused than ever. My team wanted me to take an easy fight ... but that's not how I am built."
