A student at Avondale College in West Auckland has tested positive for Covid-19 and the school will be closed tomorrow.
Principal Lyndy Watkinson announced tonight that the student was infectious at the school on 2 and 3 November.
"Through an abundance of caution, senior students are asked to study at home tomorrow," she said in a statement posted on the school's website.
"This will give us an opportunity to confirm contact tracing lists, to thoroughly clean particular areas of the school, and allow time for some staff to get tested."
Macleans College, Liston College in Henderson and Mount Albert Grammar all had to temporarily close recently after positive cases on campus.
Auckland senior school students in Years 11, 12 and 13 returned to class last month after 10 weeks of remote learning during Level 4 and 3 lockdowns.
